Goldie is a beautiful therapy pony with a robust personality. She is the lead mare of her herd. I worked with Goldie some years ago so I have a special affection for her. I hoped to capture her calm and grounded qualities as well as her independence of will and strength of character.

The Goldie the Palomino Tea Towel shows a charcoal, chalk and sanguine drawing on buff Strathmore. Sometimes a simple drawing can capture traits of personality with more immediacy than a finished painting and I think that's the case here.
