Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers Art Collection

Prints, framed art, greetings cards, mugs, homeware and accessories in Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers Art Collection. All feature my series of 12 original charcoal and chalk drawings taken from their 1930s musical films.

The Fred Astaire drawings show a succession of poses from Fred's dance to No Strings in the 1935 film Top Hat. Fred was at the height of his powers as a dancer here. The style of the drawings seeks to capture his graceful flow, his energy and his characteristic movements.

The Ginger Rogers drawings show poses from different films of the series. She matched Fred in her ability to keep acting while she danced, and I hope the drawings show that versatility. They also celebrate her poise and those fabulous dresses.

A monochrome pencil or charcoal sketch of ginger rogers with outstretched arms, rendered in greyscale on a textured beige background.
