      The Ginger Rogers Mug No 2 shows the first three in a series of six charcoal and chalk drawings on grey Strathmore paper.

      These drawings show a selection of Ginger Rogers poses. All are from the series of musicals she made at RKO in the 1930s with Fred Astaire. This mug show ginger in 'Let's Face the Music and Dance' from the 1936 film Follow the Fleet., 'They All Laughed' from the 1937 film Shall We Dance and the 'Change Partners' routine from the 1938 film Carefree.

      I wanted to celebrate Ginger's poise, her expressive ability and her fabulous dresses. I love 30s fashion. When you see the poses together you can see how styles evolved over the decade.
