      The Fantastic Fred Astaire Mug No 2 shows the second three in a series of six charcoal and chalk drawings on grey Strathmore paper.

      These drawings capture a succession of poses from Fred's dance to No Strings in the 1935 film Top Hat. Fred at the height of his powers as a dancer. The style seeks to capture his graceful flow, his energy, and his characteristic movements. I love the way that on the mugs the sequence looks almost like a cartoon flick book!
